Smart Agriculture Assistant for Multilingual Farmer Support, E-Commerce Integration, and Government Subsidy Awareness

Abstract

Agriculture serves as the backbone of the economy, playing a critical role in food security, employment generation, and rural development. However, farmers frequently encounter challenges such as lack of timely expert advice, difficulty in purchasing genuine agricultural inputs, and limited awareness of government schemes and subsidies. These limitations hinder productivity, crop quality, and access to support systems.This project proposes a Smart Agriculture Assistant, a comprehensive web and mobile-based platform leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and E-Commerce technologies. The system integrates a multilingual AI chatbot to provide instant guidance on crop cultivation, pest and disease management, weather forecasts, and best agricultural practices. An E-Commerce module enables farmers to securely purchase authentic seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and plants, with digital payment and order tracking. Additionally, a Government Subsidy Awareness module provides up-to-date information on schemes and subsidies based on crop type and region.The proposed platform enhances decision-making, promotes the use of authentic agricultural products, and increases awareness of government support systems. By integrating advisory, commerce, and subsidy services, the Smart Agriculture Assistant empowers farmers and contributes to smart and sustainable agriculture
