Abstract

Blood Connect is a web-based platform designed to efficiently connect blood donors with recipients in real time. The system enables donor registration, secure authentication using JWT, and blood request broadcasting based on blood group and location. When a matching request is generated, instant email notifications are sent to eligible donors, ensuring faster response during emergencies. The platform also allows verified organizations to organize blood donation camps and notify nearby donors. Built using Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL, Blood Connect ensures secure data handling, role-based access control, and reliable communication to improve the overall blood donation process. The system maintains a centralized donor database for quick search and matching. It provides a user-friendly interface for donors, recipients, and administrators. Admin access is restricted to manage and verify blood camp requests securely. Form validations are implemented to ensure accurate and reliable data entry. The platform supports city-based filtering to improve local donor availability. Sensitive user information is stored securely to protect privacy. Automated notifications reduce manual coordination efforts. The system architecture is scalable to support future enhancements. It promotes voluntary blood donation awareness through digital connectivity. Overall, Blood Connect aims to reduce delays in emergency blood procurement and save lives efficiently
