The integration of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into modern engineering practices has emerged as a transformative approach to fostering sustainable and culturally relevant solutions. This paper presents a case study on the successful implementation of IKS content in engineering education and practice through inter- institute collaboration. By leveraging the strengths of multiple academic and research institutions, the study demonstrates how collaborative efforts can bridge the gap between traditional knowledge and contemporary engineering methodologies. The paper outlines the framework for incorporating IKS into engineering curricula, highlighting the development of interdisciplinary courses, joint research initiatives, and community engagement programs. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis, the study reveals significant improvements in students' cultural competency, innovation, and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, the collaboration has led to the co-creation of engineering solutions that are both technologically advanced and culturally sensitive, addressing local and global challenges. The findings underscore the potential of inter-institute collaboration in revolutionizing engineering practices by embedding IKS content, thereby promoting inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation in the field. This case study serves as a model for future endeavors aiming to harmonize traditional knowledge with modern engineering paradigms.
